A dual-timeline folk horror novel about Sophie Wickham, who wakes up trapped in the eerie, isolated village of Withered Hill with no memory of her past. Surrounded by unsettling villagers and shadowy woods, she struggles to escape and uncover the truth. Meanwhile in London, another version of Sophie receives increasingly ominous messages urging her toward the same village. As the two timelines converge, a dark, devastating truth emerges about what’s really holding her captive.

Very disappointed

"I really wanted to like this book, so much. It was advertised by Disturbia so must be awesome, right? But while the plot offers a great opportunity (I liked the ending, sort of) the story isn't very well written. It was mainly just... annoying because of the very one dimensional main character(s), I couldn't relate at all. The other characters are even less interesting. And then when you expect the story to get scary or exciting, it takes either a gross or just plain weird turn. Really, the only thing I liked about this book is the cover art. Wouldn't recommend it, sorry."
