Great dress for formal events
"The dress is exactly as shown in the pictures. Since it’s 100% cotton, I would recommend sizing up, but if you’re petite, keep in mind that it may end up being longer than a true midi length. Since the material isn’t stretchy, putting it on can also be a bit of a hassle, so sizing up definitely helps. The chain is easily removable, and the dress has pockets, which is always a great and practical feature! The skirt does need a good ironing to smooth it out and prevent it from looking too puffy, but overall, I’m very happy with the dress."

POCKET ALERT
"Pockets!!! The fabric also felt much less weird after a wash, I genuinely did not believe it was cotton at first (it is, we tested). I love that the chain is removable and that you can change it out, as I have a whole collection of collar pins to use!"

Love the style. Bit small
"Love the dress. Bit small for me, especially around the waist. There is no give in the fabric. UK 12 usually fits me so will have to go up to UK 14 - I really don't have any UK 14 in my wardrobe so that's an indication for anyone reading this review that you will need to size up by at least one size from your usual size."

Fabric miss
"Dang, I love disturbia and own about 15-20 pieces from this brand but this dress was a miss. The fabric is a cheap cotton that doesn’t drape softly as the picture but rather feels very paper like. It even sounds like you are a wearing a paper bag. Sadly not for me."

Not for broad shoulder girlies!
"I bought this in my normal size and according to measurements. When it arrived however, it was sooo small. The shoulders are incredibly narrow and the whole dress is very stiff and has no stretch. Im super bummed because I love the style and the lapel clips so much. I couldn't even get the dress on over my shoulders. I have a 34 bust, 26 waist, and 35 hips. I am 5'6", 145 lbs and muscular. The size 4 was waaayyy too small. I dont even know if a size 6 would fit."

Not a fan of the fabric
"You're going to have to iron it, or soften it somehow, because the 100% cotton is stiff and wrinkled out of the package. It fits but there's enough wiggle room I feel like I need a belt to go with it or some slight tailoring. I don't feel comfortable saying "size down" because there's no stretch. The collar chain is neat though and I look forward to wearing that part with other clothes."

Didn’t work for me
"Bought size 8, usually size 6 5’4”, 120-125 pounds I bought a size up after reading reviews, but feel I should have sized down after trying it on. The cut was odd in the armpits, and the fabric didn’t feel great, so I returned instead of exchanging. It’s very possible that the fabric would have softened with use (cotton) and a dress in my size wouldn’t have any issues cut-wise, but I wasn’t brave."

Too long
"I am 5'1" and this dress made me look like a hobbit when I tried it on. The waist already was too loose and did not complement my figure. I had to return it. The cotton fabric seems to be hard to manage if I were to keep it."
