An exciting opportunity to join our design team has arisen; we are looking to recruit a Design Manger to lead our design team. The position is full-time at our Northumberland HQ.
Key responsibilities:
- Range Planning and Budget
- Liaise with Buying / Directors to develop range plans and creative ideas for releases.
- Monitor product performance and use data to direct future developments.
- Aid in developing the design growth strategy and sales plan in line with the Critical Path.
- Prepare and present product at buying meetings.
Trend Research and Customer Knowledge
- Undertake seasonal research, customer and trend analysis; from catwalk to social media - presenting customer research and buying trends for each drop.

Team Management
- Inspire, motivate and lead the Design team in successfully designing and developing multiple products throughout each season.
- Develop and manage KPIs for the design department and the designers individually.
- Ensure effective working practices are present, having an acute awareness of the Critical Path at all times.
- Assist the Director’s in planning for the design department’s growth.
Design / Production Awareness
- Product design - to include accessories, footwear, Womenswear and Menswear.
- Submit designs to Buying / Directors communicating rationale, method and fabrication.
- Deliver an excellent fabric knowledge; to ensure fabrics selected are suitable to the project, on brand, the best quality for the price bracket and consolidated across ranges where possible.
- Liaise with suppliers effectively to maintain current relationships.
- Have an expert awareness of the current production capabilities and limitations to ensure design is executed in a realistic output and timeframe.
- Budget Management: keen understanding of price architecture, margins and market pricing. Ensuring costs are closely monitored and projects are delivered within budget parameters.
- Creation of product specification and technical packs: help improve the quality of output across the range.
- Lead garment fit sessions and sample amendments: help improve the quality of output across the range.
- Factory visits and fabric sourcing trips.
- Liaise with other creative teams within the company for marketing and styling purposes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Fashion Design Degree or similar.
- Previous Production Management experience.
- An excellent technical understanding of garment design, fabrication and fit.

Job summary:
Oversee all aspects of HR for our rapidly growing team, working closely alongside our Heads of Departments. This role would be a total of 24hours per week, over 3days. We currently have 20+ employees.
Responsibilities include
• Develop and maintain a full generalist HR service to the business.
• Be the main point of contact for operational HR matters throughout the business, including any employee concerns or issues.
• Responsible for all aspects of absence management and leave processes
• Record and monitor employee absence data, noting any trends and promoting early intervention
