Caledon Check Gauze Midaxi Dress

Beautiful, but deceptive description

"It is a very nice dress, great sizing, looks amazing on however it is described as a 'Gauze' dress which it is far from. It is a rather heavy bulky synthetic material, this would be fine however I did buy it for hot weather and to pack for travel (bit too bulky and warm for these purposes). Will be good as a winter dress though."

Does not have a zip

"I love the design, but the construction isn't practical. The top is elasticated, but the waist isn't. As I have wide shoulders, I couldn't get it on without forcing it, and I was worried about tearing it. Sizing up would have made it far too big. It really should have been designed with a side zip. Sadly, I had to return it."

Almost perfect

"The fabric was much different than expected! The color is a little darker than I anticipated, which I’m so so on. The texture of the fabric, while no what I anticipated, is much more breathable and stretchy, which is great in the summer with such a long dress. And the pockets!!! Great, except for the fact that all the seams seem a little unfinished on the inside, I may modify it a bit to make it flatter because the seams stick out so far that the dress doesn’t quite lay right around my thighs."

Cute but cheaply made

"This dress is cute, but really poorly stitched. The neckline on mine was not fully centered and the stitching started to tear when i turned it on. This kind of dress should have a zipper to avoid the stitching coming undone, mine fits me and I do think it runs true to size, but getting the waist over my shoulders or hips made it difficult. It’s still cute, but the quality does not match the price point whatsoever."

Beautiful but disappointing.

"Several quality issues with this dress. First, after only two wears, an entire seam is coming undone at the waistline, which has caused a huge hole that now needs to be mended. Second, along the top hemline of the dress on the inside is what appears to be an unfinished hem that was just tucked in rather than actually secured, causing it to come up over the top of the dress and sides while wearing. It’s a beautiful dress, but for how expensive it is I expected it to be made better."

Afraid of tearing the dress

"The dress is constructed a bit weird: the upper part is stretchy, but on the waist it is not. When I put it on, I was afraid I will tear it, I even heard the threads scream for mercy. The size is right though. On the bust part the seam is not tucked away, so it is not that nice."

"Unfortunately the hem wasnt fully caught and sewn in. I did sew it in myself. It also is very “snaggy” Fabric. All if the buttons fell off and ive had to replace them. Would i buy again, NO, It is however a super pretty dress and id recommend you size down as a result of the the shirring."

Gorgeous but i had to stitch the hem at all corner

"This dress would have been 5 stars, unfortunately I’ve marked it down to 4. Every hem corner hadn’t been properly caught and the fabric is susceptible to fray. I’m quite nifty with a machine and just sorted it. Id recommend you size down in this one. In summary Gorgeous dress Perfection for the heatwave Airy gauze Size down as the shirred makes the bust roomier."
