Key responsibilities:
- To develop a full design channel business plan growth strategy and sales plan.
- Liaise with Buying / Directors to develop range plans, production budgets and creative ideas for releases.
- Production management from sampling to production, working in line with critical path and deadlines; liaising with factories.
- Team management - inspire, motivate and lead the Design team in successfully designing and developing multiple product for frequent releases from multiple factories.
- Undertake seasonal research, customer and trend analysis.
- Product design - to include accessories, footwear, Womenswear and Menswear. Submit designs to Buying / Directors communicating rationale, method and fabrication.
- Budget Management, keen understanding of price architecture, margins and market pricing. Ensuring costs are closely monitored and projects are delivered within budget parameters.
- Creation of product specification and technical packs.
- To lead garment fitting sessions and sample amendments.
- Factory visits and fabric sourcing trips.
- Liaison with other creative teams within the company for marketing and styling purposes.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
- Fashion Design Degree or similar.
- Previous Production Management experience.
- An excellent technical understanding of garment design, fabrication and fit.
- Excellent knowledge of our market sector.
- Strong CAD, excellent Photoshop and Illustrator skills.
- Strong, clear and competent communication skills.
- Confidence, self motivation and tenacity.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
